With this it has to be good enough to actually function as a gateway anime but then get s*, Bleach is the perfect example. Awesome first main arc, s* everything, absolutely everything bar OST else. My sister is getting in to it...she was already in to anime before but Bleach is her main thing now. Ugh. Sadly she's not old enough to watch any of the darker or more interesting stuff like HxH so I can't recommend them Fairy Tail is another, I notice whenever Fairy Tail was someone's first animu they seem to be particularly aggressive about it being the best anime ever. So you could also say it's a really bad example for spawning an awful fanbase. That happens to some extent with all anime, DBZ being a good example but usually people move on to greater pastures, so to speak.

Besides, what's wrong with only being into one series and keeping It that way? Nothing wrong with liking one series but not when you constantly have to declare it the best and trash other anime over it, DBZ has it pretty bad too but not so much these days. Though I'd say it gets somewhat of a pass since obviously it had a massive hand in popularizing anime as a whole and in the west.

What Browser do you use? Google Chrome Favourite Manga Dragon Ball, Fairy Tail, and Naruto.	I like Fairy Tail, but I think it's a bad example of a gateway and usually people who start with it don't really try to expand what they watch and I like someone else said earlier they end up thinking it's like the best anime. And another one is Gintama, that's like a series you cannot watch unless you've watched several other anime. It's probably the worst possible anime for a beginner to start with. There is so much you won't understand, it's key to have knowledge of other anime and to have watched many other anime. Fantastic series though. Edited by Son-Goku, Dec 15 2017, 07:39 PM.
